Callahan is the head of the Art Department at St Paulā€™s School and the director of Crumpacker Gallery. Callahan earned his BA in Art History from College of the Holy Cross and has studied classical painting techniques overseas in Italy and France. He exhibits regionally and has shown at Mill Brook Gallery, Elmira College, Kimball Jenkins School of Art, and other galleries. The artist has also worked with Universal Studios, ABC, Showtime and other studios to create commissioned paintings for sets.

The artist pulls from classical methods in painting and often uses them experimentally. Callahan will discuss his process for representational painting techniques, as well as more experimental processes like painting on mylar and incorporating moments of painterly abstraction.
