Call to Artists

Summary: AVA Gallery and Art Center is pleased to announce our biannual Juried Exhibition. This year's juror is Rachel Moore. The esteemed juror will select the exhibiting artists as well as choose the four Juror Award Winners who will receive a cash stipend and a solo exhibition in 2025. Rachel Moore is an artist, independent curator, and the Executive Director and Director of Exhibitions at The Current in Stowe, VT. She received her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received her BFA from Alfred University. She is a co-founder of Spoke, an exhibition and event space in Chicago (2008-2011), and was a Fulbright Fellow in Greece (2009-2010). Moore has presented internationally on the topics of art as a catalyst for change, public art, curatorial practice, and her artistic practice. Her curatorial projects have been exhibited in museums, galleries, and public places nationally and internationally including the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki, Greece; The Garfield Park Conservatory, Chicago, IL; The Current, Stowe, VT; Town of Stowe, VT; City of Chicago, IL; Spoke, Chicago, IL; DYNAMO Project Space, Thessaloniki, Greece; among others. She is currently Chair of the Stowe Arts and Culture Council.

•  2D work should be wired and ready to hang, no larger than 48 inches.


•  3D no larger than 36"wx84" tall.


•  Delivery: Friday, June 14, 11-4 PM


•  Opening reception, Friday, June 21, 5-7 pm, awards at 6 pm.


•  Pick up: Tuesday, July 16, 11-4 PM
