Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a committed Board of Directors (Board), AVA’s Executive Director (ED) leads a vibrant and well-established community arts organization that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023-24. The ED is responsible for building audiences and engaging donors, artists, and the wider community in AVA’s ever-expanding work. Through collaboration and visionary leadership, the ED plays a visible role in guiding AVA into the future. The ED creates and supports balanced financial plans that continue to sustain AVA on solid fiscal footing through fundraising and donor stewardship. The ED partners with the Board to bring strong management and people skills to maintain and support arts education and exhibition programs. The ED engages with staff to create a roadmap to achieve goals and objectives.

Facilities Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Facilities Coordinator will develop and implement policies and practices that promote safety in a creative environment within the Carter-Kelsey (C-KB) and Sculptural Studies (SSB) buildings, the surrounding grounds, and outdoor teaching/event spaces owned by AVA. This position coordinates and ensures that the workmanship of hired vendors involved with repairing and maintaining the buildings and outside spaces is of high quality, done in a timely way, and at a reasonable cost. AVA Gallery and Art Center offers a dynamic lineup of classes and workshops in two and three-dimensional media. If you are a working artist and would like to offer a class or workshop in watercolor, acrylic, oil, drawing, encaustics, digital media, photography, fiber art, printmaking, woodworking, metalworking, clay, stone carving, or any other media, we want to hear from you!
