Our wood shop operates several introductory woodworking classes with an emphasis on machine tools. Our robust curriculum includes furniture making, basic box building, and wood sculpting. Students can receive training in hand-tools and power tools to gain the basic competence they need to be confident while using a woodshop. The studio offers access to tools which aren’t commonly available in the average home workshop. The open space creates the possibility of building larger pieces. Independent craftsman have the opportunity to rent bench space and use our wide variety of tools to expand the reach of their work.
