Planned Giving

Join AVA’s Banks Street Society for Planned Giving!

For the last 25 years, 11 Bank Street has been the home of the AVA Gallery and Art Center. In planning for AVA’s long-term future, we established the Bank Street Society to recognize and honor those individuals who make planned gifts to AVA.

Planned giving is also referred to as gift planning or legacy giving. In a nutshell, it is a donor’s intention to contribute a substantial gift to an organization beyond their lifetime. So, unlike an annual gift (an outright gift made for current use), a planned gift is for the future. Essentially, donors make arrangements for planned gifts in the present, but they are actually given at a later date. Additionally, the gift contributed by a donor can be part of their financial or estate plans.

A planned gift may be:

  • as simple as a bequest to AVA made in your will;
  • you might also designate AVA as a beneficiary of your IRA or life insurance policy; or
  • name AVA as a beneficiary in other estate-planning instruments, such as a charitable remainder trust.
