Woodworking: Make a Cookbook/iPad Stand

This workshop is great for those who have never used a woodworking tool, as well as intermediate woodworkers looking to improve their skills. You will turn rough stock of cherry and maple into square boards and shape them into an attractive stand for holding an iPad, cookbook, or similar item. Fiber Arts: Rug Hooking

Hooked art is like painting with fiber. The technique is quite simple but takes a bit of practice and a few tools, and current practitioners use all sorts of materials. Wool strips and yarn are traditional, but old t-shirts and nylons, hand-spun yarn, and velvet can also be hooked. The class will use a pattern to get started, but you'll also be free to create what interests you.
