His work looks at the steady change of everyday surroundings and environments. Whether it’s fading light, passing storms, or growing weeds, his paintings watch for something new in a familiar thing. This process is often a balance of small sketches made in the field, large studio paintings, and monotype prints, each prompting and informing the others.
