Sarah Burns is a NH-based ceramicist working primarily in stoneware. Her forms start on the potter’s wheel and are then softly altered into familiar geometric forms. The artist use a soda fired reduction kiln and a wood fired kiln to fire my work creating warm earth tones and subtle effects of the soda ash.
Burns is juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen in 2003 where she has exhibited, showed at the League of NH Craftsmen’s Fair, and collaborated with other artists. She has exhibited locally and nationally throughout her career. The artist has lived and worked in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire for the last 20 years where he maintains her ceramics studio.
