Nate Twombly is a NH-based illustrator and interdisciplinary artist. His illustrations capture the quaint and playful details of New England. His illustrations are quirky, personality-filled and celebrate aspects of everyday life. The work often pulls from imagery of Americana, from classic sci-fi movies to architecture, history, and aspects of rural life.
Twombly has exhibited or collaborated with the Newport Folk Festival, Arts on The Green, Kelley Stelling Contemporary Gallery, Kimball Jenkins School Of Art, Launch F18, the Deerfield Fair and other clients and galleries. Nate graduated from New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2009. The artist uses multiple mediums in his practice, including pen & ink, watercolor as well as digital, and will discuss the benefits of working digitally for illustrative work. The artist will be demonstrating the process behind his thematic illustrations and discussing the ideas that inform the work.
