*Breaking News!* Sue Burton’s Box was just named a finalist for the Vermont Book Award, to be announced this fall! Click here to listen to the announcement on VPR News.

Kira Fournier Schore’s stunning sculpture Split Lady is the inspiration for a poetry reading by the River Poets at AVA Gallery and Art Center. Split Lady has a calm demeanor, yet seems very aware of her situation. The River Poets reading will explore this theme of women’s divided selves, of loss, and renewal. The reading will be inside the Member Gallery, but on your way in or out, please visit the Split Lady in Kira’s Garden. Reception with food, beverages, and book signings to follow. Free to the public.

Sue D. Burton   Pam Harrison    Carol Westberg

Due to an unexpected event, Clyde Watson will not be present at the reading. Sue, Pam and Carol will read a few of Clyde’s and fellow River Poet Laura Foley’s poems in their stead.
