Keegan Currier is an NH-based illustrator.
Currier’s work explores history, myth, and folklore through imagined worlds in both digital and traditional media. The works are otherworldly, and often reference multiple events and narratives in a single image, pulling from a range of stories both imagined and real. In his digital illustrations, his work is rendered in black-and-white and uses a range of textures that pull from aquatint printmaking, ink drawing and other media. His traditional inkwork illustrations are intricate in their rendering but have moments of expressive splattering and drips.
The artist will be discussing how he creates narratives in his work, and constructs his images from brainstorming to execution. The demo will be live, and viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions as he works.
