Dustan Knight: Assemblage Painting
April 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Dustan Knight is a NH-based painter, educator, and writer. The artist’s most recent work uses assemblage in wood which is then painted and worked as a collaged image. Knight’s expressive, active abstract work embraces a wide range of media. Paint is often dripped, poured, and splattered to create engaging surfaces. Her paintings are informed by personal experiences with nature. The artist creates sketches outdoors that are brought into the studio to work from, and often reference landscape, seasonality and foliage.
Knight earned her MFA from Pratt Institute in NYC and her MA in Art History from Boston University. She is the recipient of a NH State Fellowship for the Arts, a MacDowell Colony Residency, and is a past Cummington Colony Artist resident. Knight is a contributing writer for Art New England and a frequent juror. She exhibits often and is represented by galleries across the country.
