Join us in a foundational drawing lesson exploring atelier methods. ArtReach will be featuring the second demo in a short two-part series of introductory lessons on painting and drawing. The demo will focus specifically on drawing, and outline foundational sighting and value stucture techniques. The demonstration explore atelier methods, a traditional drawing method that relies on careful sighting, and mapping of what you’re seeing in a methodical way. Careful attention to value shapes create a high degree of accurate light and form.

The lesson-based demo can be applied to a range of practices, in both representational and abstract studio practices, as well as providing added context to the studio tours, demos, and exhibition tours featured in ArtReach.
