Storytelling aimed at connecting people and developing community.
“That time I thought I had it all figured out…”
Come tell of a time when you thought you had things all figured out, but life let you know otherwise. Story ideas include, but are not limited to, fashions we loved, fads we rode, lust that burned out, or just plain ol’ life getting in the way of a good plan; stories of youth, folly, or just plain hubris. You are invited to arrive with a story in mind and then participate in a small group (4-person) story exchange format. Stories should be (approximately) 5-minutes long. This event is in the Oral Storytelling tradition, meaning we encourage you embrace the power of orally sharing your story with attentive and active listeners rather than reading from a script.
We ask that you RSVP to email@example.com if you will be able to attend and please let us know if you have any questions/concerns. Water and light snacks will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. Donations to AVA appreciated.
