Ceramic artist David Ernster will discuss his latest work in his exhibition, “Restless,” on view May 10–June 14.
For 30 years, David Ernster has worked professionally as an independent studio artist, a production potter, designer goldsmith, and educator.
I have always been interested in vessels and the ideas of containment, protection, and mystery that they evoke. They possess the quality of containing almost infinite possibilities: stories, dreams, hopes and passions, kept safe within if only metaphorically.
David is a juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen and has exhibited nationally. He has taught at various institutions including the University of New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and Colby-Sawyer College.
We are excited to present David’s workshop in June, Playing with Form: Adventures in Clay.
