Ceramist Boyan Moskov will discuss his latest work in his exhibition, “As time goes by,” on view until November 9.
I like experiment all the time. After I finish a piece I’ll pick it apart – perhaps I like the clay body, but not the glaze; or I like the shape but not the texture; or I want it to be bigger to really show the detail. Then I start working on the next piece and I focus on the
elements that I want feature. If you look at my work over time, it’s all very different, but you can see my hand in all of it. You can see how the different elements transform over time, change, and sometimes come back into focus.
