Ann Saunderson is a NH-based painter, printmaker and educator. Saunderson works with a variety of media to create expressive, textural paintings that toggle between abstraction, landscape and figure. Recently, the artist has been experimenting with adding sculptural forms to her paintings. The demo will live from Saunderon’s studio, and she will be demonstrating how artists navigate adding new elements, materials, and processes into their studio practice, and failures and successes that result when building a new, different body of paintings.

Saunderson graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1966. As an art educator, she has taught a wide range of students, including serving as the Department Chair of Art at Sant Bani School, several years at Garland Jr. College, and Kimball Jenkins of Art where she was the Artist-in-Residence. She exhibits regionally and her work has been shown at the Currier Museum of Art, DeCordova Museum, AVA Gallery, NHAA, WREN Gallery, Kimball Jenkins and others.
