Alex Leith is a NH-based painter. He focuses on exploring relationships between texture, color, shape, and mark making to find luminous movement. Frantic yet passionate color choices flourish throughout pieces yet a congruous sense of consideration can be found in surface qualities. Alex describes his work as trending towards “Chronoluminarism” a term he uses to help convey his interest in time, light and color. Paintings emerge as manifestations of the powerful creative force beyond our literal field of vision and become delineations of the spirit which emanates from the landscape. The artwork investigates the complex energy and personal experience of a moment as well as the energy and aura of the world with which we interact.
