Youth Vacation Camps

AVA Youth 2021

Family Members receive 15% off all youth classes and camps.

Art is messy! Though we do our best to keep campers clean, campers should come to camp with clothes they won’t mind getting a little dirty. Campers should also come to camp with a water bottle and snack.

  • AM camp drop-off is between 8:45 and 9 am; pick-up is between 12 and 12:15 pm
  • PM camp drop-off is between 1:15 and 1:30 pm; pick-up is between 4:30 and 4:45 pm.
  • Campers signed up for both AM and PM camps can stay for the 12-1:30 pm lunch and activity period. Campers must bring their own lunch.

All in-person students and campers must wear masks and follow AVA’s Visitor Guidelines

Covid-19 Vaccination Policy: As of January 1st, 2022, AVA will be requiring all participants in our education programs (ages 12 and up) to either show proof of vaccination against Covid-19, or provide a negative PCR Covid-19 test (taken within 72 hours of a scheduled class session or event). Stories in Art for ages 6-9In-personages 6-9AVA InstructorArt often has a story to tell or a hidden message, if a person looks closely. In this camp, children will look at great works of art and develop a keen eye for seeing some of the underlying secret codes and stories. Art and Science Collide for ages 10-13In-personages 10-13Olivia Janna GenereauxArt Experiments: Who says art and science have nothing in common? In the camp, young artists become explorers– discovering new things about common materials and art supplies. They’ll creatively solve challenges using traditional materials in unconventional ways. This is a great camp for students interested in developing capabilities in abstract thinking, executive function, and team building skills. Pottery for ages 10-14In-personages 10-14Tyler MorrisonAn introduction to the potter's wheel, developing the fundamental skills of centering, throwing, and shaping clay. Artsy Architecture for ages 6-9In-personages 6-9Karl NeubauerTo create their own designs, campers will learn about floor plans, exteriors, and sustainable housing. They'll brainstorm and problem solve as they design and create models of homes based upon examples from real life, as well as from their own imaginations.
