In-person and Online Camps: Feb 15-19

  • Morning in-person camp drop-off begins at 8:45 am; pick-up is by 12:15 pm
  • Afternoon in-person camp drop-off begins at 1:45 pm; pick-up is by 5:15 pm
  • Campers who attend morning and afternoon in-person camps will be included in 12-2 pm lunch and art activity time.
  • Afternoon hybrid camps are limited to 6 in-person campers and 4 remote campers. 
  • All in-person camps are limited to 6 students (5 for pottery).
  • All in-person campers must wear masks and follow AVA’s Visitor Guidelines

Throwing Clay for ages 10-14 Clay / In-person ages 10-14Tyler MorrisonWe’re not just throwing clay around the room! This is an introduction to using the potter’s wheel. Campers will develop the skills of centering, throwing, and shaping clay. This is a great opportunity for young artists to incorporate this traditional tool into their work. The Water Cycle: Going Around for ages 10-14Painting / Hybridages 10-14Allison ZitoCombining science and art, campers will learn the importance of the water cycle while also studying Monet’s Water Lilies. They will also learn the role trees and plants play in purifying our water and providing us with oxygen, food, and shelter. With inspiration drawn from the connections they make between science and works from art history, students will create their own paintings.
