Each month, we’ll feature a studio visit and interview with an exhibiting artist, giving you a glimpse inside the mind of an artist and their studio. The series came to light through AVA’s former Curatorial Assistant, Emmie Foster, and will continue with our current assistant, Peili Heitzman.

Dartmouth Geisel Volunteer Day 2025
On Tuesday, August 26, AVA welcomed sixteen students (and even one Dean!) from Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine to our arts community for a different kind of lesson. Instead of lectures and labs, these future doctors rolled up their sleeves, grabbed some gloves, and got their hands dirty in AVA’s perennial beds and rooftop garden.
