Call for Storytellers:

AVA Gallery’s quarterly story-telling series, The Mudroom, is looking for storytellers who can tell a good story related to the theme “The Worst Advice.” The event will be held on the evening of Thursday, March 12, 2020.

We would like to hear from storytellers of all ages and from all towns throughout the Upper Valley and beyond. Storytellers who are selected will be awarded an AVA membership and two guest tickets to the performance.

Check out our Facebook page to get a flavor of the event.
CATV8.org has on-demand video of previous Mudrooms as well.

Stories are limited to no more than 10 minutes, must be true and autobiographical, and must be told live (not read).

To submit your story, give us a summary in fewer than 300 words of your true, personal story. We don’t want essays, we don’t want poems, we don’t want folktales, we don’t want speeches, and we don’t want stand-up routines. Just tell us what your story is about and what happens in the end.

Please also include a brief biography of fewer than 100 words. Submit your summary and bio to mudroom@avagallery.org. The deadline for submissions is Friday, February 21.

Five to six stories will be chosen by Monday, February 24. Selected storytellers will be expected to attend a rehearsal on the afternoon of Sunday, March 1 at AVA.
